Support after Trauma (Child Sexual Abuse)
Support for children, teenagers and their family members after they have spoken out to the Police about being sexually abused by an adult or older child.
Imara provide support to help children and families to recover from the shock of the disclosure. The support will be therapeutic (helping with stress symptoms and emotional support), advocacy (helping with schooling, employment, housing and health) or legal (supporting through the police investigation and criminal justice process).
Imara work out with each family what support is most important and helpful for them and we also talk with other services to help children and adults to get extra support as they need it.
Imara provide clinical supervision, consultation and training to professionals, who are working with families who are dealing with the effects of trauma.Sup
