Personal Assistant Directory
A Personal Assistant (PA) is someone who is employed to provide everyday care and support. This may include personal and domestic care, support to get out and about, as well as other day to day activities. A PA can offer the most control over services as they are better able to support an individual’s specific needs and promote independence.
All PA's listed on NottsHelpYourself have completed the Nottinghamshire County Council Support with Confidence Programme.
This means they have undertaken 3 modules of E-learning including Safeguarding Adults and Children, 2 references have been obtained and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and barred list check has been undertaken. The scheme is free and open to all existing and prospective Personal Assistants wanting to work within Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City.
All of the Personal Assistants listed on the site have been judged as being suitable to work with Individuals on a 1:1 basis
Where a Personal Assistant has not worked in the capacity of a Personal Assistant for a 3 month Period a New DBS Check will be required.
Are you currently working as a Personal Assistant and have a current Enhanced DBS and barred list check in place? Do you have current capacity to work with individuals? If so please email DPEnquiries@nottscc.gov.uk
