EVE Trades: The Workshop

The Workshop is a training centre for unemployed and vulnerable people (over 16 years) living in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire who are unemployed (or permitted to work whilst claiming benefits) and looking to gain new skills.

We work under Opportunity & Change which is a support programme for people with multiple and complex needs. The programme is being delivered throughout throughout Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, led by Framework. The programme is part of the national Building Better opportunities programme funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund. We teach practical skills in painting and decorating, bike maintenance and DIY skills. We also provide IAG appointments and progression support. Also volunteering opportunities (gardening, maintenance work, cycle maintenance and learning support). The Bike Club course is important for improving people's health and wellbeing by providing a free bike upon completion. Travel is refunded and lunch is provided.
