Hello, I’m Marcelina :) after gaining experience and knowledge in a range of services, I took the opportunity to finally venture into self-employment and now working Independently. I’m providing home care services in and around Nottinghamshire area. I used to work for 2 care agencies in the past caring for community for nearly 3 years, In addition, from the youngest years I took care of my ill mother who struggled with many diseases. It gave me a lot of experience in the Care sector. I worked with so many people with all different problems such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, Mental Health problem, schizophrenia, stroke, learning disabilities, brain injury, spinal injuries and many more. I can use equipment like slide sheet, stand aid, rotunda ,hoist however I will need one person to assist me when using the hoist patient safe is very important for me. I have experience with catheter care I can empty, change and dispose the bags. I worked with people suffering with bed pressure and worked closely with nursing team. I own the car with business insurance I am happy to take my clients for shopping, doctors appointments or simply out to the park for a walk. I help people to stay socialised as I think this is very, very important. I really like caring and looking after my patients. Before I started working in the Care Sector I also worked in the School with children.I am patient, kind, honest, resourceful, hard-working, very thorough in the things I do, professional, sympathetic, and I enjoy working closely with others.
I love listening to people stories, and I am quite chatty person with good sense of humour.
