Yellow Brick Road Day Nursery - Tuxford

Yellow Brick Road Daycare is situated in the village of Tuxford, and offers full day care to children aged between six weeks and five years and Holiday Club Care from five to eleven years which is based in our Forest School We aim to offer a friendly, family orientated daycare facility. This booklet aims to give you information on the day to day running of the nursery.

The nursery has 3 different groups according to age. First is the Baby Room, which accommodates babies under 2 years, the term after your child turns 9 months old, you may be eligible for Government funding. The Toddler Room which cares for children between 2 to 3 years, again you may be eligible for Government Funding. Children over 3 years will be in Preschool and Forest School, and may be eligible for government funding in the term after they turn 3. As the children become older the care role is less intensive and the child begins to develop independence, and the educational role becomes more central. We may move children into another room earlier than stated above, this is wholly dependent on the key person and parents having a conversation if they feel their child is ready to do so. However, your child will remain in the ratio for their age.
