Overview
Westbourne School is a truly unique provision which blends academic, vocational learning alongside the holistic development of everyone, focusing on their personal, social and emotional development and wellbeing.
The school now operates over two specialised sites providing high class educational opportunities for all. The Westbourne – Gateway site caters for those pupils who primarily are ‘upper’ school, whilst the Westbourne – Bridge site caters for those pupils of a lower age group
Curriculum
Our curriculum is sequenced to develop skills and knowledge to deepen understanding; but also allows for appropriate input to fill gaps and build solid foundations, which is appropriate for many of our pupils.
The curriculum consists of all the activities designed or encouraged within the school’s organisational framework to promote the intellectual, personal, social, physical, therapeutic and cultural development of pupils. It includes the formal programme of lessons and the informal programme of enrichment activities.
