Tracy's Street Kitchen

Overview

What we do
We are an unfunded not for profit organisation who understand the struggles that face low income families, single parents, the elderly and genuinely disadvantaged.
Within our food/care parcels we try to include basic food and toiletries but we are dependent on the generosity of companies and individuals. We are still loyal to our roots and continue to help the street homeless in any way possible.
We can only deal with referrals from Local Authorities, DWP or any other recognised body.
We have limited supplies and have to ensure that they go to those most in need
About Us
The Kitchen was set up in October 2016 by Tracy and Andrew to help the increasing numbers of street homeless, every Friday and most Saturdays. A choice of two hot meals, sandwiches, hot drinks and desserts were available ........ bread and butter pudding being one of the most popular dishes. Clothing was also available and on several occasions we had a couple of hairdressers giving free haircuts to "Tracy's extended family".
The Pandemic saw a change as most of the street homeless were housed in hotels or shared accommodation but still needed to be fed, and the Kitchen rose to the task.
It was in June 2021 that saw the shift to helping other areas of the community as it was felt by Tracy and Andrew that there was still a need for the Kitchen's services.
Donations
Money talks. We can buy food, drinks and other essential items that are distributed directly to those who need them most. With no paid staff at the organisation, you can be assured that your donation will be highly effective. Consider a small monthly donation which allows for regular, predictable planning by us - or maybe nominate us as your chosen organisation to celebrate a special occasion. Donations can be made via our website
