Toni Fletcher

I have been a childminder since 1995 during which time I have looked after many children from the age of six months through to eight years of age.

I live in a two bedroom house in a residential area of Kimberley. I have always worked very closely with Ofsted and also pride myself in working with the parents of the children I care for, to ensure all their needs are met. I am happy to discuss with parents and specific requirements they may wish for their children ranging from cultural needs, special needs, dietary needs, educational needs and I am always willing to answer any questions they may have regarding their children.

I have many toys/books which cover all ethnic minorities along with posters dotted around the playroom to encourage children to think about diversity in our society in a basic language that children understand. I am keen to ensure that all children placed with me are entertained by doing arts and crafts with them which they can take home or leave in their own folders..

I have several folders that I have produced which cover all aspects of childminding, including Health & Safety, and all the standards required by Ofsted and these are regularly inspected by Ofsted. I have recently had my 2020 inspection and was awarded a 'Good’ grade.

During the holidays I regularly take the children on outings to parks and on some occasions if we are going to a farm or zoo there would be additional costs, but I keep these to a minimum.
