Our vision is a world where all children have the communication skills they need to fulfil their potential. Our mission is that no child should be left out or left behind because of a difficulty speaking or understanding.

Two Specialist Schools

I CAN’s Dawn House and Meath Schools are at the core of our work supporting children with severe and complex speech, language and communication difficulties. Both schools have achieved outstanding plaudits from parents and government departments and offer pupils a unique and supportive learning environment.

Multi-disciplinary Assessments

Our independent multi-disciplinary assessment service offers a fast-track to getting to the root of a child’s communication needs. The service is wholly independent and will only ever describe the type of support that a child would benefit from not who would provide that support. The service has been especially useful in supporting applications for statements from local authorities.

Training Courses for the Children’s Workforce

I CAN provides a range of one day courses in London. Topics covered include: Talk Boost, Speech, Language and Communication Needs in Secondary Schools, Working with Under-3s, Parents in Partnership for Supporting Communication Development in Under-3s to name but a few. We also offer workplace training courses on an equally wide range of subjects. These courses are delivered on client premises, tailored to meet specific objectives and represent excellent value in terms of cost and workforce development.

If you are a trainer or experienced teacher/speech and language thereapist, you can now be trained as a licensed tutor to roll out I CAN’s programmes in your area.

Accreditation for the Children’s Workforce

I CAN is able to support, train and accredit the early years, primary and secondary workforce through our portfolio of Talk Programmes: Early Talk 0-3, Early Talk, Primary Talk and Secondary Talk.

Books & DVD’s for Parents and Practitioners

I CAN offers a range of engaging and developmental resources for practitioners and parents to use with their children. The latest to join the portfolio are the Babbling Babies and Toddler Talk activity packs for children aged from 0-3.
