Sutton Bonington Playgroup

Overview

We have provided good quality sessional childcare for the children of Sutton Bonington and surrounding areas as a community charity provision for the last 55 years. We are based within the grounds of St Michael's church in the charming old school rooms. We have recently been inspected by Ofsted (March 2023) and received a good rating in all areas. All our staff are fully qualified who keep up to date with regular training opportunities. The group go out on regular outings, exploring their environment, and visiting places of interest such as the Local Spinney, library, train walks and farm visits.

We provide high quality care and inspirational play in a stimulating environment for children aged 2 - 5. We run morning and afternoon sessions. We particularly believe in the importance of outdoor play and have our own dedicated playground as well as running forest school activities at playgroup and in the nearby spinney.

All of our staff are at least qualified at Level 3 with vast experience in childcare; including an Early Childhood Studies degree, a qualified teacher who is a specialist in Art and Design and two level 3 trained staff in the Early Years SENCO award. All staff are very experienced and provide a nurturing and enriching environment for the children.
