Support for Survivors Charity (1165986)

Overview

Open Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00pm

Support for Survivors Charity is a nationally recognised, award-winning organisation specialising in peer-led support and innovative approaches to mental health recovery. We provide inclusive, trauma-informed support to adult victims and survivors (aged 18 and over), working with both women and men.

We specialise in addressing the long-term impacts of adverse childhood experiences, including sexual, psychological and physical abuse, neglect, incest, and rape. Our work is informed by robust evidence recognising the correlation between early trauma and subsequent adversities, including domestic abuse, exploitation and trafficking, modern slavery, financial abuse, parenting challenges, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.

Support for Survivors Charity is the only sexual violence charity in the UK to hold UKAS accreditation, awarded in March 2025 through The Survivors Trust, the national umbrella organisation supporting sexual violence services across the UK, of which we are a member. This accreditation evidences our commitment to the highest standards of governance, safeguarding, service delivery, and continuous quality improvement.

Our mission is to empower victims and survivors to achieve their full potential through a comprehensive range of holistic, strengths-based interventions that promote recovery, resilience, and sustainable wellbeing.

By integrating self-help principles with peer-led and professional support, we provide a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment that actively reduces isolation and fosters confidence. Our holistic model ensures continuity across advocacy, emotional support, trauma and holistic therapy, education, training, and progression opportunities, contributing to reduced trauma impact and improved mental and physical health outcomes for those we support.
