Overview
Open Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.
St Mary Magdalene Primary School is a 4-11 years primary school. It is part of the Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust, with 210 pupils on roll.
There is no nursery but children come from a wide range of both school based nursery settings and private day care settings. The school has developed strong links with a number of local nursery settings and works hard to ensure smooth transitions into school.
The criteria for admissions to the school is available on the school website. St Mary's is an overtly Christian school with strong links to our church - St Mary Magdalene Church. Daily collective worship is an important part of our school. We promote very clear Christian values which are incorporated into all aspects of school life. Our own Chaplain leads regular collective worship both in school and at the church. As a school, we go to church for worship at least once each term.

St Mary Magdalene CE Primary school is a fully inclusive school for all children aged 4-11. At St Mary’s C of E Primary School, we educate for wisdom and aspiration with the help of the church and the community through a culture of dignity and respect. We aim to cultivate the gifts and talents of every child and equip them with the wisdom, knowledge and skills to live life in all its fullness: joys, celebrations, sorrows and struggles. All children and young people are entitled to an appropriate education; one that is appropriate to their needs, promotes high standards and the fulfilment of potential. This should enable them to achieve their best, become confident individuals living fulfilling lives, and make a successful transition into the next phase of their lives.
Our staff have received specialist training to help us support children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including autism and dyslexia.
