New Hucknall Nursery

A bright and modern private day nursery for ages 0–5, located in the heart of Hucknall. Purpose-built with a dedicated baby unit and under- 2s area, our nursery offers nurturing and creative environments indoors and out. With a strong focus on early years development, safety, and a family- friendly ethos, we provide healthy meals, engaging sensory spaces, and a rich, play- led curriculum. Open weekdays from 7.30 am to 6pm, 51 weeks a year, with fully trained staff, a welcoming atmosphere, and close family partnerships to ensure every child thrives.

Forest School Sessions

At Sherwood, the forest school sessions cultivate children’s connection with nature. These outdoor learning experiences promote confidence, creativity, and resilience through exploring wildlife, using natural resources, building shelters, and fire safety under expert staff guidance.

Lovely Garden & Outdoor Areas

The nursery boasts a lovely garden area with age-appropriate zones for digging, planting, and messy play. Children enjoy rolling in the green space, making dens, and engaging in tactile experiences—integral to their physical and sensory development.

Yoga & Extra?Curricular Activities

Alongside a strong EYFS curriculum, we offer yoga sessions to support growing minds and bodies. These classes aid balance, flexibility, concentration, and mindfulness—perfect for young children’s holistic growth. The nursery also hosts additional activities like art, music, and sports to foster diverse learning experiences

Healthy Meals & Parent Partnership

The nursery operates a healthy food policy, offering fresh meals everyday. Children with dietary needs receive individualized attention and monitoring. Families appreciate the Parent App offering updates on meals, naps, and activities each day.
