Who is this group for?
Our music groups are specifically designed for children who will benefit from extra support with their communication and interaction development.
On Wednesday mornings in Beeston we welcome pre-school children (from approx 2 years).
The 'Speech, Sign and Song Plus' group for school-age children runs once a month on a Saturday afternoon in Toton.
These children may also have differences in their concentration, behaviour and emotional development, which can make it hard for them to make friends and to cope with the high level language, busy nature and expectations of 'mainstream' community groups.
Children in the group may or may not have a clear diagnosis such as Autism, Down's syndrome, Specific Language Impairment or ADHD. They may have other speech and language needs and/or Learning Disabilities. They may also have physical and/or sensory impairments and other medical conditions.

Age Range: Pre-school 2-4. School-age 4+

Referral
Specifically for children who need extra support with their communication and interaction whether or not they have a diagnosis such as Down's syndrome, Autism, Specific Language Impairment, ADHD etc. They may have other speech and language needs and/or Learning Disabilities.
