Overview
Rehearsals take place on Mondays 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. during school term time
We are a well established community choir of about 50 members, that welcomes new singers of all ablities.
We meet to rehearse once a week during school term time at Holy Family School, Worksop. There is one main concert per term plus a Christmas concert, and sometimes informal ones. We sing a broad range of music from folk songs, opera choruses, the choral classics and new commissions.
Our concerts are accompanied by ensembles, full orchestras or organ/piano. We have a very experienced Music Director/Conductor who provides excellent direction, continually improving our standard of music and a very experienced accompanist, so choir are well supported. Additionally we provide access to rehearsal aids where needed.
We hold concerts on our own and also joint concerts with other choirs/ensembles. Additionally the choir has strong links to other musical organisations in Pfungstadt in Germany and Aurillac in France - cities twinned with Bassetlaw.
