Main Purpose
The goal of this review is to thoroughly analyse residential, nursing, and respite care for adults aged 18-64. We will assess the current state of service provision, including affordability, quality, and accessibility. The insights gained will guide the creation of strategies and future models to ensure a diverse and sustainable market that meets the needs of all service users, both now and in the future. This review aims to promote high-quality care and support the economic viability of our residential care providers.
What we will be doing
Evaluate Services: Assess the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of our care services.
Identify Needs: Understand current and future demands and develop innovative delivery models.
Spot Gaps: Pinpoint service gaps and barriers and create solutions to improve accessibility and choice.
Value for Money: Achieve the best value for commissioned services.
Streamline: Review processes to find efficient practices and tech opportunities.
Set Fees: Establish a fair fee model for residential care in Nottingham.
Empower Residents: Enable residents to share their experiences and shape future services
Engage Communities: Build relationships with seldom-heard communities for active participation in service design and decision-making.
Promote Inclusion: Ensure equality, diversity, and inclusion in all service delivery aspects
In summary, this commissioning review will address current gaps and challenges in the residential care market for working age adults. By adhering to the responsibilities outlined in the Care Act 2014, we aim to shape a responsive and sustainable market that prioritises person-centred care and supports the diverse needs of our citizens.
