Relate Nottinghamshire is a charitable organisation dedicated to strengthening relationships and improving emotional well-being across Nottinghamshire. We provide high-quality, accessible relationship support services to individuals, couples, families, and young people. Our work is vital in reducing conflict, enhancing mental well-being, and fostering stronger family and community connections.
Our Services We offer a range of professional and confidential services tailored to the needs of our clients:
1. Relationship Counselling o For individuals and couples facing relationship difficulties.
o Delivered by trained professionals in-person, online, or by telephone.
o Aims to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships.
2. Children’s Counselling o Support for children aged 5-10 experiencing social, emotional, or psychological challenges.
o Addresses issues such as family conflict, bullying, academic pressure, and low self-esteem.
o Helps children navigate transitions such as bereavement, moving house or school, and family changes.
o Delivered in a child-friendly, safe, and supportive environment.
3. Young People’s Counselling
o Support for young people aged 11-17 dealing with family issues, anxiety, and emotional distress.
o Available at our Nottingham and Lincoln centres or online.
o Helps young people develop coping strategies and emotional resilience.
4. Separation and Co-Parenting Support
o Guidance for parents going through separation or divorce.
o Focuses on reducing conflict and supporting children’s emotional well being.
o Delivered through structured sessions in-person or online.
5. Sex Therapy
o Specialist support for individuals and couples experiencing sexual health and well-being challenges.
o Delivered by trained professionals in a confidential setting.
o Aims to rebuild confidence and improve relationships.
6. Sex Addiction and Sexual Compulsion Support
o Support for individuals struggling with compulsive sexual behaviours and addiction.
o Delivered by trained therapists in a confidential and non-judgmental environment.
o Focuses on understanding triggers, developing healthier coping strategies, and restoring relationships.
7. Workplace and Community Outreach Programs
o Training and workshops for businesses, schools, and community groups on relationship well-being and mental health.
o Tailored sessions designed to support employees and students in managing personal relationships.
8. LGBTQ+ Relationship and Well-being Support
o Support for LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families to address unique challenges such as societal stigma, family acceptance, identity-related conflicts, and mental health disparities.
o Includes counselling for LGBTQ+ youth, couples, and parents, with a focus on creating a safe and calming environment.
