Overview
A Registered Charity run by a voluntary committee.
Rated 'GOOD' by OFSTED in July 2023. We offer high quality provision for children aged 2-4 years of age. We provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment in which children are supported by our qualified staff to develop their own potential at their own pace.
All our activities are accessible to all and differentiated to meet the needs of all the children in our care. We have a waiting list in place for allocating places. We offer 2 year funded spaces, 15 hour 3-4 universal funded hours as well as 30 hour 3-4 funded places, we also offer the funded 2-4 year old's working families 30 hour funding, this can be used over the full week and any hours going over this entitlement are charged at our hourly rate. We are open 7:45-3:00 term time only.
Our ratios are 1:4 for our 2 year old's and 1:8 for 3-4 year old's. We have 7 members of staff who are qualified to a level 3 in childcare or above and an apprentice working towards her level 3 qualification. We view training as very important and make sure our staff receive all necessary training as well as any additional training we deem suitable or that they would like to do. Our caring and qualified staff can offer your child the best start to their early years journey. In our setting we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
We believe that the importance of early years in a child's development cannot be over emphasized. Any experience which caters for the needs of the children, before they reach statutory school age, establishes the foundations of future learning. We aim to meet these needs in our daily contact with the children. We see each child as an individual, we learn through play and their interests, their learning should be fun. Our activities are both child led and adult initiated, we have a good balance of indoor and outdoor learning opportunities. We look at our local community and go on local walks when we can to explore our local environment. We do offer a voluntary session or either rugby, football, yoga, ballet with a charge of £2.50 per session.
We build positive relationships with the children and their families, family members can become part of our management committee if they wish too.
