Children's Sensory Therapy is a team of highly skilled Occupational Therapists specialising in supporting children and their families facing challenges with areas such as sensory processing, functional skills, motor skills and regulation. We provide comprehensive assessments and individualised treatment plans to help children overcome these challenges.
Our Expertise
We have extensive experience working with children of all ages and abilities. Our Occupational Therapists hold dual qualifications at the graduate level in both mental and physical health and have completed advanced post graduate training in the following areas:
Sensory Integration
Sensory Integration (SI) therapy focuses on helping children who struggle with processing and responding to sensory information. Children with sensory processing difficulties may find it hard to manage everyday sensory experiences, such as touch, sound, movement, and body awareness. Through Sensory Integration therapy, we assess the child's specific sensory needs and design personalised interventions that help them develop the ability to process and respond to sensory stimuli more effectively. This therapy can improve a child’s ability to participate in everyday activities, enhance their motor skills, and support emotional regulation.
Sensory Attachment Intervention
Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI) is a specialised form of therapy aimed at children who experience sensory processing difficulties as a result of early life trauma, such as neglect, abuse, or inconsistent caregiving. Children often struggle with forming secure attachments and may have heightened or diminished responses to sensory stimuli. SAI combines principles of sensory integration with attachment theory to create a therapeutic approach that addresses both the sensory and emotional needs of the child. This therapy helps children to develop a sense of safety, improve their ability to form healthy relationships, and better regulate their emotions.

Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art resources to facilitate the best possible outcomes for the children we work with.
