Overview
Every month
Nottinghamshire Parent Carer Forum (NPCF) is the representative voice for parent/carers across Nottinghamshire.
NPCF is a registered charity run by, and for, parent/carers of children & young people with an additional need and/or disability. Our purpose is to be a voice for these families, to gather their views and experiences, and then work in partnership with the Local Authority, and other providers in education, health and social care to help shape and improve the services they use. This is based on the view that disabled children and their parents understand best what they need from the services in their area.
Our vision is to create better outcomes for all through the process of working together, highlighting where local services are working well, or challenging when changes or improvements need to be made. We have representatives included and actively involved on local decision-making groups and boards, so we can ensure parent/carers are at the centre of the decision-making process.
Any parent/carer of a child or young person aged 0-25 with Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities who lives or receives services in Nottinghamshire can join NPCF. This is a way you can get your voice heard. To find out more about the forum or how to get your voice and experience heard, go to our website: Nottinghamshire Parent Carer Forum (NPCF)
