Established over 125 years ago, NDS is proud to have played a part in making Nottinghamshire a more open society for the City and County’s Deaf Community.

Owns and runs a community centre for deaf people of all ages and for their families. The centre offers a 'deaf friendly' space where deaf people can meet, socialise, participate in a range of valuable activities, and access specialist services and advice.

Offers a range of services including welfare rights, debt advice and sign language interpreting to the local deaf community. Organises a 55+ group, luncheon club, social club and other activities. Runs BSL classes and lip reading classes. Campaigns for equal access, opportunities and information for deaf people.

Times and availability

The Nottinghamshire Deaf Society Open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
