Overview
Monday - Friday 9:30am - 3:00pm
We run a Day Service for Adults with learning disabilities and autism each day in the week, this gives people an opportunity to learn, make friends, express themselves and get active here at Nottingham Mencap.
We are open from 09:30 - 15:00 Monday to Friday for adults living in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We can provide 1-2-1 support if needed too depending on need.
We are proud of what we do here and have trained learning disability tutors delivering sessions which are varied, educational, and fun. Not only that, we try and push boundaries to allow the people we support to reach their potential.
Activities range from arts and crafts, story telling, drama, independent life skills such as cooking, IT training, and training (online safety, how to report hate crime etc). We have also started swim and gym sessions in the community and sports activities too.
We deliver our daytime provision from two locations; Clarence Street, Sneinton, Nottingham and St. Wilfrid’s Church Hall in Wilford, Rushcliffe.

Contact
Nottingham Mencap was originally founded in the 1950’s by a group of local Nottinghamshire parents to support their children with disabilities.
Through hard work and dedication from everyone involved with the organisation, and successful fundraising, Nottingham Mencap have been able to create a new space the people of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire can be proud of. The space includes a gym, health and beauty room, sensory room, multi-media suite, café and large function rooms for sessions such as dance, drama, creative writing, art and independent living skills.
If you are travelling by car there is on street parking or if you come by bus the 25, 26 and 27 drops you very near to us.
Costs
Our services are charged for services, so you will need funding to attend. You may fund the activities through your own personal finances, or from financial support you receive from health and social care. People pay for services through personal budgets, direct payments, or health funding, depending on their needs.
