Nottingham Homeless Health Team

Overview

Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm

We are a team of nurses who provide healthcare and advice at drop-in clinics and outreach in Nottingham for homeless and vulnerably housed people. We provide treatment, advice and support to help patients stay as healthy as possible. We work with other agencies and health services on the patients' behalf and with their consent.
We help patient with:

Dressings and wound care
Assessing and treating minor illnesses and injuries
Giving health advice
Blood testing
Removal of cannulas, clips and sutures
Mental health assessment and support
Pregnancy testing
Seasonal Flu Vaccinations
Physical and mental health drop-in clinics
Referral to other agencies
Ensure at initial consultation that patient is registered with a local GP - if not will facilitate registration
Support to access mainstream healthcare

We also offer -

Specialist knowledge and resources for physical and mental health
Advice and support to colleagues
Representation at multi-agency meetings for homeless and temporarily housed people
Involvement with Local Authority Homelessness Strategies
Joint working with voluntary and statutory sector agencies

How To Access
You can access most of our services through the Nottingham Health and Care Point run in partnership by CityCare and Nottingham City Council. Access is by a single number - 0115 8763330 - which is open from 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Referrals
