Newlands Junior School provides education to children aged 7 -11 years.
It is situated on the Newlands Estate, which is part of the Forest Town area on the eastern side of the Mansfield district.
We currently have 224 children on role, our capacity is 240. We currently have waiting lists for years 5 and 6.
We have 11 teachers (some part time), 8 teaching assistants (some part time), 3 SEN teaching assistants who provide additional support for our funded children, 2 lunchtime play leaders, a sports coach, as well as a Pupil Wellbeing and Family Support Lead and a Pastoral Support Worker.

8.35am - 3.05pm (term time only)
Breakfast club 8am-8:30am Monday to Friday (term time only)

Newlands is a small junior school (240 on roll) that caters for the needs of children aged seven to eleven years old. We celebrate difference and value the contributions that every member of our wonderful school makes to both the school community, and our community as a whole. We have a fantastic team of experienced staff who support children with a variety of additional needs, including those children who have an EHCP.
At Newlands, our vision is to provide outstanding and inclusive opportunities for every student, irrespective of their additional needs, to thrive academically, socially and emotionally, equipping them to be responsible, respectful and active adults who can flourish in society.
