Lantern Lane Primary and Nursery School- Nursery

Lantern Lane is a mainstream primary school. We have a large Foundation unit which means we can provide education for children from the age of 3 - 11.

We offer universal care for all 3 to 4 year olds of 15 hours per week. We also offer up to 30 hours extended childcare in total per week, which is free to eligible families through Government funding, or can be paid for directly to the school.

Children join our Foundation Stage Unit at the beginning of the term after their 3rd birthday, and remain there until the end of the Reception Year.

Times and availability

Opening Times

We accept 15 hour universal and 30 hour extended entitlements. In addition, the costs above are broken down as follows:

- Payable 3 hours session (AM or PM, subject to availability, for registered families entitled to universal 15 hours only) are charged at �16.75 per session
- Lunchtime supervision for registered children eating their lunch in school over our nursery lunchtime period (supervision provided by Midday Supervisory staff) is charged at the rate of �4.00 per day. Families can send in a packed lunch, or purchase a school meal, full details of which are below.
- Registered Nursery children booked in as above to stay in school during our lunchtime session are also able to purchase school meals provided by our school kitchen (in line with the menu published on our website), which are charged at �3.16 per day. School meals are payable in addition to the lunchtime supervision charge above.
