Overview
My name is Kelly, I am an Ofsted registered childminder working in Kirkby in Ashfield. I co-childmind with my sister who is also a registered childminder and we have been working together as L&K's little Kingdom since 2017.
I started my career in childcare soon after finishing college in 2006.I worked my way up to deputy manager in a private day nursery then spent 9 years working as a TA in a special needs school. I then registered as a childminder to fit around caring for my own children.
We spend a lot of time carrying out activities at home and out about in the community visiting parks, playgroups, the library etc.
We provide home from home care in a safe and stimulating environment for children from birth to 4 years of age.
I have a level 4 certificate in children's care, learning and development, am paediatric first aid trained and have completed a DSL course in child protection.
