Overview
Working to end Honour Based Abuse in the UK
We run the national Honour Based Abuse Helpline, train professionals, gather data to inform policies and services, and campaign for change.
Helpline
We are here to listen and to help anyone who is affected by Honour Based Abuse. If you are in an emergency situation, please call 999.
We are here to help
Honour Based Abuse is a form of domestic abuse. It can come in many forms, and although it is a problem in certain communities, cultural traditions do not make it OK. Abuse is abuse. No one - not even your family - has the right to control you or to harm you emotionally or physically.
Many women are affected by Honour Based Abuse. You are not alone.
Help is available. Safe, confidential, free services exist for you. We support over 2,000 victims every year, many through our national Honour Based Abuse Helpline.
If you are at risk, or if you are concerned for someone who is, we are here to listen and to help.

Our values
Our values shape everything we stand for and believe in.
Together: We work together as one team, showing care, empathy and respect along the way, united by our shared vision. Together we are stronger.
Human: We take a survivor-centred approach when responding to Honour Based Abuse, placing those we serve at the heart of everything we do.
Experienced: We have nearly three decades of experience in supporting victims and survivors of Honour Based Abuse. We are survivor-led and listen to those with lived experience to successfully campaign, train and advocate.
Compassionate: We provide compassionate support, care and understanding to all those accessing our services. We listen and are non-judgemental. We do our best for all of those who use our services.
Bringing about change: We find approaches and solutions to ‘close the gaps' that exist for victims and survivors of Honour Based Abuse, rather than just responding to the symptoms of them.
Outcome focused: We focus on the end goal in every situation. Whether speaking to service users, opinion leaders or within our team - we focus on the best outcomes to support the best possible solutions.
