Imbue Ventures - YAP Untapped (Young Adult Provision)

Tuesdays to Fridays, open from 10am to 4pm

Imbue Ventures, is an Immersive Inclusion Centre based in Derby, working with and for individuals from the ages of 8 onward. We use our "SociaLearning" and "GamEducation" approaches, to mentor in interactive core subjects, and offer a unique alternative provision; all while focusing on developing social skills, life skills and integrating with the community.

Our core values at Imbue are to create an inclusive community of young people with similar interest, where individuals can be themselves and develop their own skills through independent learning with support of mentors.

We offer inclusive environments, for young adults, aged 18 to 25 with additional needs; focussing on empowering them to develop their skills, enhance their independence and overall improve their wellbeing.

Our pioneering facility, provides a comprehensive and inclusive environment, for young adults with additional needs, up to the age of 25. We focus on empowering them to develop a wide range of skills, enhance their independence and improve their well-being.

We aim to help those; who may have struggled in secondary school, having been sent to a special education school or are currently NEET, as they navigate the transitions and struggles into college, the workforce or day to day life etc.

At Imbue we believe in carrying on every young adult’s development and education in a more relaxed and open environment; giving students the chance to learn new skills, enhance existing ones, and work towards their goals of employment, further education, or successful integration into everyday life. We focus on social integration and creating a community with our staff and students, where everyone feels welcomed and accepted, regardless of ability or capability, allowing us to help Young Adults gain confidence and build a supporting community around them, while also guiding them into the rather different world of Employment, Further Education or Moving out etc.

• Life Skills Development: o From basic tasks like washing clothes and preparing meals to crucial budgeting skills, we equip our students with the practical knowledge needed for independent living.

• Employability Skills: o Our program emphasizes the development of essential workplace skills such as customer service, mentoring, and administrative tasks. Additionally, we offer specialized training in areas like coding, computer maintenance, diagnostics, and media/design.

• Social Integration: o Imbue is more than just a learning environment; it's a community. We prioritize creating a welcoming and inclusive space where every individual feels accepted and supported. Through teambuilding activities and collaborative projects, we empower our students to build confidence and form lasting connections.

We are working with multiple schools and organisations, such as Derby City Council, Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire County Council, St Albans Academy etc to offer respite, short breaks and re-engagement programs.

Times and availability

Our YAP sessions are hosted 10am to 4pm daily.

Age Range: 16 to 25

Please note this is our base price for YAP Untapped (one session per week for a term), additional fees may occur for support packages.

Our fees are invoiced and structured at a termly price, which we generally align with Derby City Council's School term-time calendar. For more information please feel free to contact us.
