Human Artist

Mondays from 10am - 1pm

Human Artist is an entry-level theatre makers programme for learning-disabled and/or autistic adults.

Run by Unanima Theatre, Human Artist is a safe, inclusive, and creative space where participants are supported to alongside opportunities to building confidence and creating social connections.

Led by professional creatives, the programme gives participants the chance to:

  • Explore acting and performance skills
  • Build confidence and feel part of a community
  • Work as part of a team
  • Share their work with others
  • Develop friendships and social connections.

Sessions run every Monday, 10am–1pm (term time only)

The Old Library is situated in the town centre and can be accessed from Mansfield Bus Station which is a 5 min walk for the average ambulant person. There is an incline from the town centre up toward Leeming Street and it is 0.2 miles in distance.

If you are a Blue Bade holder, there is parking opposite the building between 10am and 4pm on the double yellow lines. The nearest car parks are Toot Hill (0.1 miles) or Handley Arcade (0.1 miles).

The building has step free access and an accessible toilet.

The closest Changing Places is in Mansfield Museum (next to our building) which is open from 10am – 3pm (Tuesday to Saturday).
