Overview
Home-Start Newark provides a range of free services to families with at least one child under the age of 5 years old. We can support families in and around Newark, and in villages around the Newark area. We also provide support in Ollerton, Boughton and Bilsthorpe.
We provide a home visiting service, where your family would receive weekly one to one support from a trained volunteer, who are a parent themselves around many of the challenges of parenting, including children's behaviour, learning and development, as well as any tough times you are going through, such as low mood, mental or physical health needs, bereavement, domestic abuse, money troubles and/or many other of life's challenges. We are led by you and can support you.
We also provide a supported Baby and Toddler Group in Barnbygate Methodist Church Hall on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10am-11.30am. If you are feeling isolated and alone, or are struggling with any of the challenges listed above (or other issues) you are welcome to attend. It is free, and we provide a healthy breakfast to all children who attend, hot drinks and toast for adults, staff and volunteers on hand to provide support, and lots of learning through play. You are welcome to drop in and try us out.
