The Home Energy Advice Team (HEAT) Hub provides local and innovative in-person energy advice, ranging from free home energy plans* to workshops, webinars (opens in new tab) , andeducational resources. (opens in new tab) The aim is to deliver one-on-one energy support to households living in hard-to-heat properties within conservation areas or those who are off the gas-grid.
The UK has the oldest housing stock in Europe which is in urgent need of retrofit. HEAT Hub's targeted support aims to capture the complexities of these buildings, offering a whole-house approach to simplify energy efficiency, as well as helping to cut carbon emissions and household bills.
Originally launched as one of the governments Local Energy Advice Demonstrators (LEAD), the H.E.A.T Hub is brought to you by Nottingham Energy Partnership the leading climate change charity in the East Midlands.
The team consists of experienced professionals including retrofit assessors and coordinators, architects, industry experts and local installers. Understanding that the journey to a greener low-carbon home can be daunting, the team is dedicated and ready to support you. Included in the package is the chance to book free* energy surveys, receive a personalised home energy plan and access a list of local and trusted installers.

You will be suitable for HEAT Hub if you live in a home with one or more of the following:
- a low Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of D-G*
- a property that is not connected to the gas grid
- a home in a conservation area*Homes with an EPC rating of B-C will benefit from HEAT Hub’s Clean Heat and Power Home Energy Plan

The plans are tailored to assist those living in energy inefficient homes, homes within conservation areas, or homes that are not connected to the gas grid. The objective is to make whole house retrofitting easier, allowing accessibility to anyone facing these challenges. The plan is informed by an in-person retrofit assessment of your home, looking at details specific to the conservation and retrofit of your property. It also takes into consideration your needs and plans for improving your home.
