Highfields Park Champion

Overview

As one of our Park Champions at Highfields Park you could be the eyes, ears and helping hands at this award winning park. We are looking for volunteers who take pride in their local area who can help keep areas tidy and litter free, report issues and work with our Park Ranger to improve the park.
We are looking for enthusiastic people who want to help us care for Highfields Park and want to make the space as inviting as possible to others. We know our parks and open spaces have been a lifeline to citizens during lockdown, ensuring they can get fresh air, exercise and have a place to relax and unwind.
This role can be undertaken at a time to suit you, although there will be opportunities to cover specific events and projects, including Bench Restoration workshops in the summer, Gardening in Japanese Garden and Cascades areas as well Conservation based volunteer sessions throughout the year (predominantly autumn/winter).
We need you to help us be the eyes and ears of the park and make them as inviting as possible to visitors so they can continue to enjoy our open spaces.
