Haywood Road Preschool

Parents can visit our setting to ask questions, meet the team and children, if you decide to place your child you are invited in for a settling in visit prior to their start date. The childs' interests and likes will be taken into account so we can have resources ready for when they start. We reassure upset children with kindness and compassion and encourage interaction with the other children. We contact the parent during their first sessions to let them know how their child is getting on. We can arrange additional settling in visits if required. We have a wide range of strategies to support children and their families who have English as an additional language. We have worked with families from many different countries.

We communicate with families using various methods. These include a Learning Journey which we add lovely observations, artwork and developmental progress information. We use daily watsaap to communicate messages and photos of activities and events to parents. Information is also emailed to our families. We invite parents in for meetings with their key person to discuss progress. We also encourage parents to send us in any pictures or photographs of things that their child has done outside of preschool. We are on facebook and instagram, we do not show childrens faces on these platforms.
