Gemma Carroll - Small Steps

Welcome to Small Steps, a high quality flexible childminding service. I can offer free places for 2,3 and 4-year-olds for both the 15 and 30 hours offered by government. I have over 20 years experience working with children and families and pride myself on offering a quality service that is full of play, fun and learning.

I have worked in a variety of different settings gaining knowledge, skills and experience, and now I am offering within my home as a childminder. It is important that children feel safe and secure in their environment, so I like to offer a home from home environment but with the added advantage of a large selection of quality equipment that offer stimulating play and learning activities.

As well as activities around my home, I have a large outdoor play area with climbing equipment and ride on toys. I live with my husband Pete and my daughter and a very friendly dog called Star. I work with assistants who are working towards their childcare qualifications, but have all been DBS checked and have first aid and safeguarding training in place.
