Overview
Open Everyday
Gedling Indoor Bowls Club is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community where people of all ages and abilities can enjoy the game of bowls in a friendly atmosphere. Based in Gedling, at the Richard Herrod Centre, Foxhill Road, Carlton, since 1987, our club is more than just a place to play - it's a space to connect, stay active, and feel part of a supportive community.
We run a popular Over 50s group twice a week, but sessions are open to everyone - whether you're an experienced bowler or a complete beginner. You don't need to be a member to join in: members pay just £5 for two hours and non-members £7 for two hours.
All equipment is provided, so you can simply turn up and play. Bowls is a low-impact sport that's great for both physical and mental wellbeing - helping you stay active, improve coordination, and enjoy the social side of the game.
At Gedling Indoor Bowls Club, the sense of community spirit is just as important as the game itself. Many lasting friendships have been formed here, making it a fantastic way to meet new people and have fun while keeping healthy. We play competitive league games and internal competitions, county and national individual and team events, as well as many opportunities to play a causal game.
