Caroline Crew - Caz's Crew

Overview

I am married with 2 children age 18 and 20.

We live in a large detached, child friendly house with a large modern open plan family area, dining and kitchen, I have a large dedicated play room with a wide range of toys and resources. I have downstairs toilet facilities which leads directly onto an enclosed child friendly garden with many interesting and fun activities available. I have plenty of space available for nap times to allow good quality sleep if needed.

Our home is located in Compton Acres, West Bridgford in a quiet cul de sac. We have a lovely 11 year old terrier/lurcher cross dog called Wispa who the children all love, she is very friendly and happy around children. We are 5 minutes walk from the local parks and toddler groups/activities. My biggest passion is to see Children learning through play in the woods and forests and as a Forest Childcare Provider I strive to have the children in the outdoors as much as possible (most days). We regularly hire the local scout campsite for the day and we enjoy cooking on campfires, swinging in trees and hammocks and exploring with an independence that children so rarely are allowed. Toddler group, soft play centre, library and trips to NT properties like Belton feature regularly farm trips, strawberry and pumpkin picking visits to Sherwood Pines and Rufford Country Park and during the summer trips to the lido on the Embankment and rowing at the University boating lake.

The children learn through play and at their own rate in my setting.

In my latest Ofsted Inspection in December 2019 I was rated as high Good.

I work closely with other childminders and we know each other's children well between us we can cover each other in rare times of sickness.

I have been a registered Childminder in West Bridgford since January 2008.

I provide full home cooked nutritional dinners and tea.

I am very committed to my Childminding practice and spend a lot of time and energy ensuring that the children in my care have as good all round life experience as my own children and minded children are welcomed into my home and become part of our now very large family.
