Overview
Calverton Day Nursery is set in one of the oldest farmhouses in the village of Calverton. It has been altered sensitively to create the feeling of its original character whilst thoughtfully incorporating the most modern facilities for children, providing a bright, airy, homely and secure environment with visible documentation of learning and well-kept resources. These resources reflect a number of pedagogical approaches and means of teaching and learning. Outside, we have multiple secure, easily accessible and age appropriate gardens and outdoor learning environments where children can freely explore and extend their learning further.

Our aim is to provide a secure and welcoming environment for your child whilst maintaining a relaxed, homely and happy family atmosphere where children feel comfortable and safe to explore. We want to develop our children’s self-esteem and healthy living awareness to enable them to reach their full potential and be independent individuals who are confident in their own abilities.
We understand how difficult it is to leave your child in someone else's care, however, we are extremely proud of the high-quality day care we offer and are confident that you will be delighted with the level of service provided.

We are open 48 weeks of the year. We are closed on all bank holidays, May half term, the last two weeks of August and between Christmas and New Year.

When entering the village of Calverton along Main Street from the south, take the second right turning (Mews Lane) after the Admiral Rodney public house. The Nursery is on the left after approximately 100 yards.
From the North, continue along Main Street taking a left turn onto Mews Lane after the Post box at the bottom of Georges Lane.
There is a parking area for parents, with regular buses going to Nottingham and surrounding areas.

Dietary needs
We take details of dietary requirements at enrolment and all our meals are created in the setting by our chefs who will cater for any dietary needs. All drinks, meals and snacks are included in the daily fee and are freshly prepared and cooked on site. Our nutritious and varied menus are shared with parents via the FAMLY app.
All meals are prepared freshly each day by our cooks and are carefully chosen not only for their nutritional value but also for their popularity. Meals are pureed if required for our very youngest children. It is important to inform us of any known food allergies your child may have � we cater for all dietary needs.
Children often partake in baking/ cooking activities of all kinds (not just sugary treats). We choose our ingredients together and use substitutes to meet dietary requirements of children where necessary, to ensure inclusion for all.
Special needs (children)
We have years of experience in looking after children with SEN needs. Our team receive training to cater for the needs of all children. The setting SENDCo liaises with parents and appropriate professionals.
