Providing support to limbless and injured veterans for life
Blesma, The Limbless Veterans, is dedicated to assisting serving and ex-Service men and women who have suffered life-changing limb loss or the use of a limb, an eye or loss of sight in the honourable service of our country.
ADVICE AND SUPPORT
Blesma offers advice and support to Members who may have been fitted for a prosthesis or are awaiting fitting. Our Support Officers are ideally placed to help you get the best service possible, and we have an in-house prosthetics expert who can assist directly with our Members prosthetic issues. Contact between Members can be facilitated where required also - sometimes just having someone to talk to with similar experiences can help.
GRANTS FOR OUR MEMBERS
As an Armed Forces charity, our mission allows us to offer our Members financial assistance with the additional costs and hardships of disability.
EXPERT ADVICE
Blesma has been offering support and advice for many years to its Members and has developed a level of corporate knowledge and understanding that is unrivalled.
UNDERSTANDING BENEFITS
The benefits system can be complex and leave people confused about what they are entitled to- Our team of Support Officers can give advice and assistance on applications for entitlements. We also have an in-house Prosthetics Support Officer who can assist directly with our Members' prosthetic issues.
EMPLOYMENT, TRAINING AND EDUCATION
Blesma are not an employment charity, but we can point Members in the right direction if they are looking for work, education, or other relevant opportunities.
