Overview

Ash Lea School is a day, community Special School for students between the ages of 3 years and 19 years who experience complex learning difficulties.

Curriculum

We have a balanced and purposeful curriculum to ensure that key concepts are learned, practised and applied. The curriculum structure has 8 areas;

  • My World
  • My Body
  • My Creativity
  • My Independence
  • Literacy
  • Numeracy.

The areas taught within each curriculum pathway are closely matched to the developmental and learning needs of the pupils accessing that pathway, enabling them to develop the appropriate level of knowledge, understanding and skill required to access the next pathway approach or to prepare them for life after Ash Lea.
