Introduction

Archangel Care offers a unique, bespoke and person centred approach to providing support to adults in their own homes. Our service is available to individuals and organisations who are funded by the local authority or privately. Our support packages can meet the needs of adults with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, challenging behaviour, physical disability, acquired head injury, dementia, Alzheimer's, sight loss, hearing loss and those suffering mental ill health.

Our support packages are compiled following an assessment of need which puts the customer at the centre of every decision. Through multi-agency collaboration which will include clinicians, social workers, other professionals, friends and family of the individual, our assessments result in support packages which allow customers to exercise choice and lead fulfilling lives.

Our values can be summarised as follows:

  • We aim to meet the spiritual, cultural and personal beliefs of the people who use the service
  • We respect all people that use the service as a unique person
  • We strive to provide an excellent service
  • We encourage personal growth, development and work towards goals.
  • We will be open and fair in everything that we do
  • We will treat everyone with the dignity and respect that we would wish for ourselves

Registration

Archangel Care is fully registered with and inspected by the Care Quality Commission to provide personal care services and has full professional insurances in place.

Quality Assurance

All Archangel Care staff members are closely monitored to ensure that customers receive the very best possible care. Quarterly spot checks are done on all staff, each staff member has a monthly supervision meeting, staff are required to attend bi-annual team meetings and staff have a performance based annual appraisal each year. In addition to this customers are reviewed after the first 6 weeks of support along with quality monitoring calls and visits are carried out throughout the year to ensure they are happy within the service. Customers are also invited to complete member assessment forms on staff. Each year an annual quality assurance questionnaire is also sent out to customers, the results of which are then published and can be viewed publicly Archangel care operates an ‘open door’ policy allowing any customer to contact them directly with any questions or concerns they may have in relation to their care.

Staff Recruitment and Training

All Archangel Care staff undergo an extensive recruitment and selection programme. Staff are chosen only if they can clearly demonstrate an in-depth grasp of the key essential principles of care. Written references have to be supplied and all staff receive mandatory training which is then renewed annually. This includes: First aid, safeguarding, food hygiene, health and safety, fire safety, emergency procedures and medication awareness. An enhanced DBS disclosure is obtained for all staff and renewed annually to ensure the maximum security for all customers.

Pricing Policy

Archangel Care offers a competitive pricing policy to all customers which is agreed locally in order to ensure that it is competitive with the current markets for any particular area. All prices are agreed with individuals and organisations prior to any care being provided.
