Charity Looking for Volunteers in Kimberley and Hucknall

Contact the Elderly, a national charity dedicated to tackling social isolation amongst older people, are looking for volunteers. The charity, which tackles social isolation amongst older people through free monthly tea party groups, is hoping to set up a new group covering Kimberley and Hucknall.

The group will be formed of 6-8 older guests and their 3-4 volunteer drivers, who take them to Sunday afternoon tea in a volunteer hosts home once a month. The group of guests and drivers is the same each month, meaning that over time some lovely friendships develop. Contact the Elderly are looking for volunteers to drive guests once a month, or step in occasionally, and a volunteer group coordinator to ensure the smooth running of the group before we can get started.

Volunteers can apply online at www.contact-the-elderly.org.uk/volunteer  or can get in touch for more information at chloe.brown@contact-the-elderly.org.uk or 0800 716543.
