A message from Helen Whately, Minister for Care, Department of Health and Social Care – 20th November 2020

In recent days, we have had some good news pointing to a brighter, safer future. We have seen positive results from the late stage clinical trials of not one but two COVID-19 vaccines.  Subject to independent regulatory approval, there is promise of a return to a more normal way of life in the not too distant future.

Dear Care Providers

Please join us as we put together a Christmas to Remember and inject some sparkle into 2020 as the year comes to a close……..

You could call it a Yuletide login…O Come all ye CAREful -an event you can play on big screens in lounges or on a lap top in someone’s room.

It won’t be a Silent Night because we are going to have you all singing.  This event will link up all care providers in care homes and in the homes of those receiving home care.

This is a celebration of EVERYONE in our care community…a Christmas concert for us to enjoy together…apart to sing with ONE voice.

The event is being produced and presented by Big Ian with him calling in some favours for some performers.

Every Christmas singalong favourite will have the lyrics appear on the screen so it will be like a collective karaoke for you to enjoy in your own homes and care homes.

This is a ridiculously ambitious project but WILL be a much-needed shot in the arm for us all at the end of a year we never signed up for.  The attached flyer provides information about how you, your workforce, clients and their loved ones can all get involved and provide amazing video content for this sparkling event.

INTERESTED?  Then see the attached flyer to find out how to get involved.
