CORONAVIRUS UPDATE BULLETIN – For Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Care Providers – Tuesday 2nd March 2021

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE BULLETIN – For Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Care Providers – Tuesday 2nd March 2021

Please note that this email will now be sent out twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Dear Providers, the information below contains current and up to date information from our strategic partners for you and your staff:

New and updated guidance and support, including information on funding:

Covid-19 vaccination in long term residential facilities

National guidance states that anyone in “JCVI group 6” can have their Covid-19 vaccination. This includes residents in a long-term residential facility, including those individuals on the learning disabilities register. The local NHS and councils are working together on plans for vaccination and we will begin this from this week. Local GPs and our roving team will be carrying out these vaccinations.

Many homes have already been contacted about this to discuss dates and timings. If your home has not yet been contacted, please email

We will need as many staff as possible from your home to help on the day. If you do require additional support, we will work with you to provide this.

Any staff in homes who have not yet been vaccinated will also be vaccinated as part of this.

Second vaccination dose in older adult care homes

We are now working through plans for second Covid-19 vaccination doses to happen in older adult care homes. We will share more information on this soon and your care home will be contacted directly.

As before, we will need as many staff available on the day as possible to help with this.

After your Covid-19 vaccine
Please remember that even when you have received your vaccine, you must continue to follow Covid-19 IPC measures and adhere to the government guidance in place including social distancing.
