The information below contains current and up to date information for social care providers.

New and updated guidance and support, including information on funding:

No updates for today.

Training events, webinars and support lines:

All care homes are invited to attend the 3-4  weekly GSF support meetings

These meeting are similar to Hospice UK ECHO in style and are NOT just for those who have had specific GSF training or gained accreditation.

Just  a reminder to say that our next GSF Support Call for Care Homes  will be next Wednesday  1st July  at 10.30-11.45, and will continue every 3 weeks.

This call  will feature the thoughts and learning from Jo Hockley, Nurse Consultant Edinburgh University,  who has a special passion for this work  and great experience in supporting care homes, and who leads very interesting work with care homes on Reflective Debriefing for teams,  which is proving especially helpful during this pandemic.  Not to be missed!  We will include our GP Clinical Associates and other speakers as needed, but the main focus is  to be able to hear your reflections during this very tough time,  offer support and guidance as needed and share examples of good practice .

We are seeking  your feedback and reflections !  We would be really  pleased if you could share with us

  • your reflections of current issues and challenges  (your current problems )
  • anything you’d like to send us that you have found useful as examples of good practice  (solutions/ celebrations) eg especially any photos of things  you can share , a board of appreciation notes or thankyou cards, ideas that worked for you , etc.
  • and how doing GSF has helped you during this difficult time

Please do pass on the invitation to others in your area who might find this useful, and we will include them on the database.  If you have already registered you do not need to do so again.

GSF resources  For any that missed this, the resources and power points  for the support calls are on the GSF Homepage Website, with other information on the COVID or other sections of the website.

We look forward to seeing you again and hearing from you on  Wed 1st  July 10.30-11.45 – (do join earlier if you can from 10.15 with microphones off initially but camera on)
