Comments on the SEND Local Offer

The SEND Local Offer is intended for you and should be shaped by you. There are various ways that you feedback on your experience of the SEND Local Offer and also on provider services that you have accessed:

  • If you have comments or feedback you want to give us on what is or isn’t included then please e-mail us at local.offer@nottscc.gov.uk
  • As well as telling us how we can improve the content of the SEND Local Offer, we also want to know how easy you find the site to navigate and search; what you did like, what weren’t you so keen on? You can do this by clicking on the 'Feedback' tab, which displays on the right side of pages
  • The site also features a ‘rate and review’ facility. This is intended to work like ‘Trip Adviser’ and enables you to give star ratings and provide comment/feedback on specific services or provision that you or your family have accessed. You will need to sign in and register to be able to leave a review. You can find a link to do this in the 'Reviews' drop down on service provider records.

Comments, Complaints and Compliments - Provider Service Listed on the SEND Local Offer website

If you wish to make a complaint about a service or provision that you or your family have accessed, please refer to the  providers published procedure. This can usually be found on the provider's website. If you are unable to find a copy through this route, then please ask the provider for a copy, which they should make available to you.

As per the disclaimer on this site, inclusion within the SEND Local Offer does not confer any endorsement or recommendation on the providers or services that are listed. The Local Authority is not able to investigate complaints about the service or provision that you have received, unless these were provided by the Local Authority.  

It will be possible for negative as well as positive feedback to provided through the "Rate and Review" function. When this occurs this information will be shared with the provider, who will be given a "right of response". Both the original comment and any response will be visible on the SEND Local Offer. The Local Authority reserves the right to remove offensive or abusive postings from the site.
