Childcare Information and Additional Needs
Settling In
- How will you help children to settle into your setting?
- We offer pre-start visits and taster sessions so that the families can meet and get to know their key-person before they start. The new children get familiar with their surroundings and rooms. We provide news letters, emails and social media input to develop our relationships with the children and their families. We provide an "All about me" form for the parents/carers to fill out before their children start with us so that we can get a good idea of the child's likes/dislikes etc. We also provide a baseline assessment for the parents/carers to fill out too and this helps us to know where your child is at developmentally. Once you register your child with us, we keep in contact with you over a period of time until your child starts our setting.
Progress
- How will you communicate with parents/carers about their child's progress?
- We have our online development journals called "Tapestry". Parents can sign up to this when their children start and then receive observations, photos and videos of their children throughout the week. We also put daily posts up on our Facebook and Instagram secure pages for parents only to access . We are always on hand to chat one to one with parents, via email or phone call too. We do termly child development reports that we send out to parents too and Parents evenings 3 times a year (Spring term, Summer term and Autumn term)
