The Manor Residential Home

The Manor Residential Home is a long-term residential care home for the placement of older people aged 65 onwards. It specialises in providing support to males and females who can no longer live on their own and require help with washing, dressing, mobility and all aspects of personal care. Full nursing care is not catered for. A full needs assessment is carried out for each prospective resident to ensure their needs can be met.

The home is located in Church Street, Arnold, which is four miles north of Nottingham. Arnold offers a wide range of facilities which include a pedestrianised shopping centre, a library, and several other shops, newsagents etc. A bus stop stands directly outside the main gate; this offers regular services to Nottingham city centre. The church from which the road takes its name is also close by.

The home stands on the site of the Old Manor House which was demolished at the beginning of the twentieth century. The present Manor House was originally built in 1928 by Mr T Nix. During its construction he purchased the distinctive stained glass window from the Nottingham Exchange. The window bears the Old Nottingham Coat of Arms and is still a most interesting and unique feature of this lovely building. The property was re-developed with a large purpose built extension in 1996. Further extensions were added in 2000 and 2015. The home is set in large gardens edged by trees.

Providing personal care and attention…

Within a warm and friendly atmosphere, we take a holistic approach to caring for our residents, encouraging them to be as self caring and independent as possible, giving them the freedom of choice to enable them to enjoy the best quality of life within the realms of their ability.

Support from us every step of the way...

We appreciate that it is a huge decision to move your relative into a care home.  From our experience, families worry far more than the residents do. Residents often take on a new lease of life with the relief of making the right decision to leave their homes and making new friends with dedicated staff who take care of their every need.  The home provides a family atmosphere and many staff have and have previously had their families living in the home because they know they will be cared for.

…for long term happiness.

The first six weeks is considered to be the trial period to ensure that The Manor Residential Home is the right home to meet your needs.

…without losing your sense of being.

Activities are an integral part of the day. Rest assured that resident’s choice of daily routine will always be respected as well as their privacy.
