Jolanta Dayal
My name is Jolanta, and I am an Ofsted registered Childminder providing care in my own home for children in the Burton Joyce,Lowdham,Netherfield Gedling ,areas.
I take the children out on trips to the local playgroup, music classes and libraries, I also go to lots of different parks, picnics, woodland walks, painting in the parks, rain and snow walks.
Occasionally I have a bouncy castle, pyjama parties, and parties, to give the children lots of experiences to ensure they grow up happy. I believe that young people develop in a natural way through different choices of activities, natural resources and different materials. Outdoor and indoor are very important for children to learn. I let the children have the choice of play and remember British values. It is very important for me that the environment is calm, flexible, professional, and approachable this way parents and children working with me feel easy and are happy.
I make very strong relationships with parents - this is very important to me. I do this by day to day communication. I also have a feedback system for parents, our closed Facebook page ,Whatsapp and email parents pictures of their children. Parents can always provide me with feedback so I can improve the service I provide. I ensure that I communicate with the parents to keep them up to date on their child's progress.
I also have available free childcare for 2,3 and 4 year olds. 15 hours /30 hours free early education each week during term time only.
Open time: Saturday and Sunday available, early and late opening (fees apply)
I have a car including suitable car seats which we use for outings. All policies are kept up to date and parents are informed prior to outings. I have two children of my own 10 years 4.5 years. Polish, Punjabi, and I have multicultural backgrounds. I have knowledge of many different cultures.
I would like the family’s to consider me, and my service as their second home/family.
I ensure that equal opportunities are placed into practice at all times in my setting. I also offer children help with the homework, an example: reading or writing.
I provide structured activities which enable children to develop in all areas of learning. ~I endorse positive discipline as more effective way of setting boundaries for children and I am very consistent so the children know they are nice and secure in the boundaries I set and everything i do here in my setting is in line with the current EYFS framework and I will ensure always high standards in all aspects of EYFS.
I have a very large, clean and spacious house. The following rooms will be used for childminding:
A: Dining/Kitchen - Quiet area - Children can use the TV for a quiet time if they are not sleeping and for reading books on their own, baking and extra crafts and art take place.
B: Living Room B: Different toys and activities are available. I use the table for eating meals and different activities.
C: Garden: Children will have lots of opportunities to play outside in the safe and spacious garden. We will have lots of outdoor toys and games. There is sand and water play. We grow vegetables and grow plants.
The children have their own personal space where they can store their shoes and coats.
Toilet and sink are downstairs, I encourage good hygiene - All children have a separate towel and I encourage hand washing and teeth brushing.
Please do not hesitate to contact me. I may be able to drop off and pick up from other schools as required.
To increase my knowledge I continually take training. I have completed the following: Safeguarding, child protection, first aid certificate, fire safety in the home, food allergies online, talking matters training, introduction to supporting learning training, beginning with babies face to face, introduction to children with autism training, autistic spectrum disorders, raising development concerns with parents online learning, delivering EYFS online learning.
