CanalAbility is a registered charity dedicated to providing the facilities for people with a wide range of disabilities, health conditions or anyone experiencing disadvantages, to enjoy boating on the river on our specially adapted canal boats.
Enjoy a great experience on our boats exploring the River Stort for 4- hour day trips. Our two purpose-built, fully centrally heated and accessible broad beam boats enable everyone to take a full and active part in the boating experience all year round.

The aim of CANALABILITY is to provide recreation and leisure facilities to benefit young and older people, people with disabilities or with social or economic difficulties so that they can enjoy the exciting experiences we offer.
You can hire our boats:
- As an individual, if you or someone onboard has special needs or a disability*
- As a family, if one of your group has special needs or a disability*
As a group, if it is a :
- community group - such as residents groups, social club or organisation where disability is not a requirement.
- youth organisation, guides, scouts, school, college etc...
- group that provides care or respite for carers
- group with a member who has special needs or a disability*
*All people have a range of differences and difficulties, the groups that have hired our boats include those with arthritis, sight impairment, mobility difficulties ...

Accessibility:
If you have restricted mobility or are a wheel chair user you will like our boats.
Each boat has a lift and other adaptive technology to allow everyone to take an active part in the operation of the boat.
Unlike the majority of canal boats, all of our boats have disabled toilet facilities and our holiday boats have a full wet room, rather than just a shower tray, or a bath.
