Attenborough Church Pre-school

Pre-School sessions for children from aged 2 years 3 months to school age, with an aim to build up their personal, social and emotional skills through a wide range of activities inline with the Early Years Foundation Stage in readiness for starting school.

We have an experienced Staff Team of 14, Level 3 Qualified Staff. 

We have the use of 2 large rooms in the Village Hall and an outstanding secure garden area, including a paved area, large grass area, play house, garden beds and a specific area for Forest School activities.

Morning sessions are for all children whilst the afternoon sessions on a Monday  and Tuesday are for Rising 4's. These sessions include phonics & PE.

We also offer a lunch club from 12.15 - 1.00 to extend a morning session.

From the April 2017 we are offering afternoon sessions, 12.15 - 3.15, on a Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. Afternoon sessions include lunch club, please ring for more information.

All children have a Keyperson who keep development records on their Keychildren, and work closely with parents, but all Staff work with all the children.

We have close working relationships with local feeder schools to ensure smooth transitions to school.

Experienced Staff also run a Toddler Group, 9.30-11.00 am on a Friday morning during term time.

Description

We work with the County Council's School and Families Specialist Services (SFSS), and other support agencies such as speech and language.

 

Our staff includes a special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO) & a Language Lead, who oversee the support for children with additional needs.

 

All Staff and children use Makaton signing throughout the session including storytime & singing.
